Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has disclosed that he categorically told President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that he would neither support, vote for, nor work with him.

Amaechi made the explosive remarks on Saturday, May 25, 2025, at an event in Abuja to mark his 60th birthday. While delivering a powerful speech on the current state of the nation, the former minister did not hold back his criticism of the Tinubu-led administration, laying bare his long-standing opposition to the President's leadership.

"I told Tinubu in Yola, I will not support you; I will not work for you. I did not work for him; I did not vote for him. It was the issue of capacity,ÔÇØ Amaechi declared in front of an audience that included key political figures and civil society stakeholders.

"No Nigerian leader cares for you. When we leave here, we go to plot how to grab power. That's all.ÔÇØ

Amaechi, who once served under the Muhammadu Buhari administration, did not mince words in accusing Nigerian leaders of systematically weaponizing poverty against their own citizens.

"They steal the money meant for schools and hospitals and keep it in their pockets. The fuel subsidy was removed, but where is the benefit? The people are suffering while they enrich themselves.ÔÇØ

He condemned the increasing manipulation of voters along ethnic and religious lines, warning that such divisions only serve the selfish interests of political elites.
