The 2017/2018 and upward graduates of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), have cried out to the Joint Admissions And Matriculation Board (JAMB), over failure to upload the compulsory Regularization Data necessary for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
JAMB had in 2018, introduced a 'JAMB Regularization Process' as a criteria for graduates who wants to get mobilized for NYSC.

"Since 2018 we graduated none of my course mates have been mobilized for NYSC because of Regularization. The delay first started with our immediate Vice Chancellor Prof.Francis Eze who could not send our data to JAMB earlier until now we got a female VC Prof.Nnenna Oti who when we besieged her office early July 2021, compiled and sent our names to Owerri JAMB office that's mandated to do the uploading to national office where the final letter needed will be processed. But my thrice visit here shows that nothing has been done so far owing to the fact that only one staff is assigned uploading the data of students from my school, IMSU, ALVAN, POLYNEK,IMO POLY etc,it is high wickedness and unfortunate of JAMB. So many of us since after graduation have reached the age 30 and cannot serve again, some have lost jobs which requires NYSC and some have travelled oversees forgetting totally about mandatory one year NYSC. We Futoites are mostly affected".

According to a staff at the JAMB office, 'the fault is from the director here who only assigned one staff to be doing the uploading work'.
