For universities, the minimum score is 140, while polytechnics and Colleges of Education have a minimum score of 100. Institutions are free to set their own minimum scores, but none can admit students with scores below these benchmarks.
JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, clarified that the scores were determined by the institutions, not JAMB. He also announced a fee of N2,000 for the Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME).

Professor Oloyede stressed that the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) is the only platform for admissions, warning that institutions that violate the admission processes will face sanctions.
