Lecturer Who Hasn't Been Paid Since 2020 Delivers Septuplets, Seeks Help | SEE PHOTOS
Sunday, January 8, 2023 was a day of celebration for the family of Mrs. Ngozi Uzodike, a lecturer at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK), Anambra State, after she delivered septuplets (seven babies); two boys and five girls.

Uzodike, who works in the Department of Business Administration, UNIZIK delivered her babies at Obijackson Women and Children Hospital, Okija, however one of the female babies died.

The babies were delivered premature at 26-weeks and will need to stay in incubators which will cost N3million each summing the total hospital bill to N19million which the family do not have.

Speaking to newsmen, the new mother disclosed that she has not been paid salaries since she started working at the institution in December, 2020.
The father of the babies, Mr. Celestine Uzodike explained;

"The babies came out prematurely at 26 weeks and the hospital said they will need to be placed in the intensive care unit and each of them will cost 3 million. One of them has died, remaining six babies, that is why they billed us like that."

Mr Uzodike appealed to the Federal Government to pay the two years salary arrears owned to the new mother, and also called on other well meaning Nigerian to come to help the family.
