That's when the new season starts on paper and accounts reset, so it makes sense for Leon to arrive when the page on the 2024/25 season is turned over completely.
Leon can make instant impact at Man Utd
While it is a tall order for a teenager joining from Paraguay to make an instant impact at Man Utd, Leon is no ordinary wonderkid.

Patrick Dorgu was signed in January as the first-team option, but he's quite raw as well, and combined with Harry Amass' breakout, Amorim might have a good collection of options at a position that requires a player to always be at 100%.

A lot will depend on the pre-season because if Amorim wants a small squad, it could be a straight shootout between Amass and Leon for the spot behind Dorgu.
