Manchester United are among a number of clubs who are keen to sign goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen in the January transfer window.

Despite having brought in Senne Lammens in the summer, Spanish publication Sport says that United, as well as Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur, have enquired about the 33-year-old German's availability.

Ter Stegen is currently nursing his way back to fitness from a back injury and is expected to be back in action by the time the transfer window opens.

"The Blaugrana club is aware of the significant market for Ter Stegen," they write. "A top-level goalkeeper who could start for any of Europe's top clubs.
"At Barca, the German knows it will be difficult to get playing time, and with the World Cup on the horizon, he could consider a move."

They add: "Specifically, interest is high in the Premier League, where several top teams could sign a goalkeeper in the winter transfer window.

Real Madrid told to keep an eye on Wirtz
Xabi Alonso wants Real Madrid to "keep an eye" on Florian Wirtz amid the forward's slow start to life at Liverpool.

The German winger joined the Premier League champions in a bumper £116m deal at the start of the summer but has struggled for form since his arrival.

According to Defensa Central, Alonso, who worked with Wirtz to great success at Bayer Leverkusen, would be keen to bring the player to the Spanish capital if things don't work out in England.

"These criticisms have led Xabi Alonso, aware of the need to sign a midfielder, to ask Real Madrid to keep a close eye on Florian Wirtz's situation for next year, in case the player's adaptation doesn't end up being optimal and a move to the club could be considered next summer.
"Real Madrid, who have always been keen on the German, will follow the former Bayer Leverkusen player, especially because Alonso knows him very well and knows the talent he can bring to bear on the pitch."

Hammers want Endrick loan

The struggling Hammers have already made contact with Real but could face competition from La Liga side Valencia and Real Sociedad.
