An oil and gas business mogul of Abia State origin, Chief Sir Chris Odinaka Igwe OFR, has bagged a meritorious award of Platinum Leadership For his Selfless Services to humanity.

The award was conferred on Sir Igwe at Saint James Methodist Church Nigeria, Umuda Isingwu, Canaan Land Circuit, Umuahia, Abia state on Saturday, March 25, 2023 during the church's annual diocesan synod.

According to the church, the award comes in recognition of the efforts of Sir Chris Odinaka Igwe to ensure that people get access to petroleum products during the era of petrol scarcity at a reduced rate.

Recall that among other petrol stations in Umuahia, Mainland Oil and Gas Limited owned by Sir Chris Odinaka Igwe, was selling petrol at a reduced price during the recent fuel scarcity in the country which made petrol to sell up to ,N400 per litre and above.
