A pedestrian bridge known as Morbi bridge has collapsed in Gujarat, India, killing at least 134 people. Hundreds of people who were celebrating Diwali (festival of light) fell into the river when the cables on the bridge snapped.

According to report, the 230 meter Morbi bridge built in the 19th century under British rule collapsed on Sunday, October 30, 2022, due to overloading.
