NCC Celebrates 2021 National Cybersecurity Awareness, Give Tips

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is Celebrating National Cybersecurity Awareness (NCSAM), for the year 2021.

The NCC is the Independent National Regulatory Body for the telecom industry in Nigeria.

National Cybersecurity awareness is usually observed by the Commission every October.

" The month of October, is the National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) globally, aimed at raising awareness about cybersecurity, and to provide the general populace with knowledge and tools for online safety.

" Consumers are empowered through awareness and sensitization campaigns, by providing information on both the positive and negative potentials available online and measures required to safeguard themselves and their loved ones."

Programmes slated for the 2021 Cybersecurity awareness is as follows;

Week 1 & 2: Cyber crime, cyber security
