JUST IN: NECO Releases 2022 Results | SEE HOW TO CHECK
The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the 2022 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results.

Announcing the release of the results on Thursday at the NECO headquarters in Minna, Niger state, the registrar of the examination Body, Professor Dantani Wushishi, disclosed that 1, 209, 703 candidates registered for the examination, while 1, 198, 412 sat for the examination.

According to Wushishi, 727, 864 candidates, representing 60.74 per cent, got five credits and above in the subjects including English and Mathematics.

He expressed excitement that the rate of malpractice reduced, however, two schools were recommended for de-recognition for two years for malpractice while 29 supervisors were blacklisted for involving in malpractice offences.

Dantani also added that the number of candidates with special needs is 1, 031 adding that 98 with albinism, 177 with autism, 574 with hearing impairments and 107 are visually impaired.

"In the area of malpractices, 13, 595 were caught as against 20, 003 in year 2021, which showed appreciable decline in number of malpractices cases.ÔÇØ

"Twenty nine supervisors were blacklisted for various offended ranging from poor supervision, insult, aiding and abetting during the examinationsÔÇØ he said.
