The Adekunle Ajasin University in Ondo State, has issued new penalty for indecent dressing among students of the institution.

According to a circular addressed to the students, the Senate of the institution at its 171st regular meeting on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, resolved to rusticate any defaulting student for one semester.

According to the circular, any student of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko who violates the senates decision on indecent dressing, is deemed to have committed a misconduct and such student shall be sanctioned accordingly.

Indecent dressings as cited by the institution, include; wearing of skimpy skirts and blouses, leaving the cleavages open by female students, wearing of braids or dreadlocks by men, earrings, nose rings, tattered jeans, sagging, etc.
