Lawyer and Human Rights Activist, Reno Omokre, has said that the SABMiller Investment of Peter Obi, is one of the biggest mistakes of the Labour Party 2023 Presidential candidate.
"One of the biggest mistakes Peter Obi made is bringing up his SABMiller investment. Not only was it an unnecessary lie (his investment did not grow to $100 million), it shows he does not understand the North. Beer is haram to Muslim Northerners and his boast works against him!

Omokri's opinion is following a statement credited to Peter Obi that the $20million he invested in SABMiller during his time as governor of Anambra state has multiplied to $100million.

However, media aide to Obi, Valentine Obienyem, has said that the exaggeration did not emanate from his principal.

According to Obienyem, the information was circulated "probably by one of the youths, not under our control, but eager to throw in anything that glorified their hero-ObiÔÇØ.
