Orji Kalu is the arrow head for national rebirth, Igbo renaissance - Group reveals

In a press statement released on Saturday, signed and circulated to the media by the National coordinator Chief Daniel Akwari (Osu uzo 1 of Item) and Secretary General, Professor Victor Ukaogo, the organization described the former Abia state governor as the proverbial cat with nine lives and likened his travails as the necessary stimulant to greater attainment in his political career.

The release described the Senator's experience in prison as a tonic that will release his inner elements for the national assignment he has pledged to pursue. The organisation described Senator Orji Uzor Kalu as the arrow head for national rebirth and Igbo renaissance.

The release continued that 'Nigeria is in search for sincere unity even as Ndigbo are desirous of genuine integration, both tasks the eminent senator is fully committed to achieve'. Orji Uzor Kalu must therefore recommit himself to the task he had long pledged to pursue within the context of supporting unwaveringly the Nigerian unity and the quest for Igbo reintegration into mainstream Nigerian project.

AANIA urged Senator Orji Kalu to see himself as a rallying point of Igbo aspirations especially at this juncture of 'national crossroads' and period of seeming ' distracting entanglements in Igboland'.

AANIA is appreciative of all individuals, groups and organisations for their patriotic roles, prayers and interventions in whatever form leading to the voiding of the obnoxious judgement that kept the 'Lion of the Niger' and the 'Mmiri nyiri enyi' in the cooler for almost six months.

In a related development and in a later interaction with the media, the National Coordinator of All Abia North Indigenes in Abuja (AANIA) and former President Ohaneze Ndigbo (SouthAfrica), Chief Daniel Akwari flanked by the Secretary General, Professor Victor Ukaogo informed that plans had been concluded for a Grand Church Thanksgiving and Reception in honor of the Senator representing Abia North, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu on a date to be announced soon. We want to use this auspicious event to 'thank God for his mercies on the Senator and our reprentative in the days of his incarceration'. No harm came upon him as he remained a blessing even to people that encountered him in prison. He concludes 'all consultations have been made concerning this grand event and the details will be made very public very shortly.
