Price Hike: Egg Now Luxury, Oh Lord Help Your Children - Actress, Uche Elendu Lament

Nollywood actress Uche Elendu, has asked God to help his children over the increasing cost of egg in Nigeria.

In the past few months, the price of eggs has continued to increase, alongside other foodstuffs in major cities across the country.

Just last month, an egg sold for N60 to N70. However, it now costs between N80 and N90.
Elendu, decrying the cost of things in the market, prayed that Nigerians do not suffer from hunger and starvation.

The actress wondered how the masses survive in such an economy.
On her Instagram story, she wrote:

"Egg is now 90naira, Oh lord help your children do not let hunger and starvation ravage Nigerians. An egg is now luxury. How much then will the chicken that lays the egg cost? I fear for the masses.ÔÇØ

On a monthly basis, prices of food items appear to be increasing in major cities in Nigeria. For example, the prices of flour products such as bread; rice, beans and garri; and regular beverages have experienced unimaginable hikes in price within the last one month.
