Russia Invasion: How I Escaped From Ukraine -Solomon-Otabor | READ DETAILS
Super Eagles and Ukrainian side, Rukh Lynnyky forward Victor Solomon-Otabor ,has described his escape from war-hit Ukraine.

The 26-year-old undertook a nerve-racking escape mission from Russian-invaded Ukraine to neighbouring country, Poland over the weekend.

The forward's core crumbling road trip was necessitated by Russian President, Vladamir Putin's full scale attack launch on neighbours, Ukraine's north and south, leaving thousands scampering for survival and safety.

Solomon-Otabor who recently made his Ukrainian Premier Liga debut, described the journey as ''scary'' adding that he drove with his teammates from his Lviv base in Ukraine for about six hours, passing several road blocks to Poland amid fear of being attacked.

The London-born sportsman said;

"I managed to get back to the United Kingdom through Poland by road, but I was scared throughout the journey,
In our region, there was no attack on our city. There was just curfew around but it's not very nice when your loved ones are becoming too worried about you.
So, I had to leave when the Ukrainian federation suspended the league
At some point, during the journey, I was scared of us being attacked. We left just when the attack was about starting on Thursday.
We had some stops but they were just routine checks. The journey was very quiet.ÔÇØ

Ukraine's domestic season was scheduled to resume this weekend, but will now remain suspended amid the invasion but Solomon-Otabor prays football returns to the Eastern European country soon.

Meanwhile, Solomon-Otabor's U-19 teammate Michael Obamina and Michael Stephen, John Chukwufumnanya, Bright Essien and Henry Paago are still in Ukraine.
