Signature Bank Opens Branches In Aba, Umuahia

Two branches of Signature Bank have been officially launched in Aba and Umuahia.

Signature Bank Aba is located at Aba Owerri road, after the railway, while Umuahia branch is located at bank road, opposite Okpara auditorium.

Speaking during the commissioning of signature bank in Aba and Umuahia, the Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti OFR, said his administration is keen in providing jobs and improving the welfare of Abia citizens, hence he commended the board and management of signature bank for coming to Abia State.

Otti who spoke on the message he titled "Open for Business" said he has created a seamless method for business owners and those who have interest to do business in Abia State.

While the Governor emphasized that he resigned before contesting for his current position as the Executive Director and a co-founder of Signature Bank, he assured that the bank would create several opportunities for Abians.

According to him, Aba as a commercial hub would enjoy the technological, innovative and professional services of the bank. He also encouraged Aba people to take advantage of signature bank to improve their revenue, while he debunked the report that Umuahia is only occupied by civil servants.

The Governor therefore implored the residents of Umuahia to leverage on the opportunities introduced by the bank.

The Abia State Chief Executive maintained that he will maintain the friendly environment to enable investors to come and opined to see robust partnership between the bank and other institutions, as well as individuals. Otti, who has experience of banking for decades, charged signature bank to be partners to small and medium scale enterprises, support young people, investors by helping them to achieve their dream

He promised that his administration is ready to welcome more businesses, as far they meet up with the requirements set p b y relevant government authorities to operate in Aba. Otti said he is expecting Signature Bank to open more branches in Abia State.

Governor Otti, said that he is proud that the Signature Bank, after about one year of its establishment has become a very important player in the Nigerian financial services industry and appreciated the Board and Management of the bank for believing in Nigeria and the limitless possibilities it holds and for heeding to the call of investing in Abia State.

He stated that the State government would want to see a partnership between the bank and the Abia business community, assuring that the government would do everything possible to create a conducive environment for all businesses to thrive.

In his speech, the Chairman of the Board of Signature Bank, Dr. Mutiu Summonu , represented by

Mazi Uzoma Nwankwo, pledged that the bank would be a full and active participant in the drive by Governor Otti to transform Abia State to the best State in Nigeria .

"We understand the pivotal role small and micro scale entreprise play in driving the economic development. Our goal is to be a catalyst for their success , offering stable financial solutions to their growth and innovation."

He thanked Governor Otti for coming to grace the occasion and the opportunity to invest in the State.

Also speaking, the Managing Director of the bank, Mr. Godwin Nosike said that the launch of the branches in Aba and Umuahia is in recognition of the opportunities and potentials that exist in Abia State. He added that,
