JUST IN: Supreme Court Gives Verdict On Suit Seeking Presidential Zoning To South-East
The Supreme Court on Friday, struck out a suit seeking for the Peoples Democratic party (PDP)'s 2023 presidential ticket to be zoned to the south east.

A Presidential aspirant of the PDP and former Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Honourable Cosmos Ndukwe had instituted the suit against his party, praying the court to give an order compelling the PDP to stick to its zoning and rotatory policy.

In a unanimous judgment delivered by Justice Adamu Jauro, the suit was struck out on the ground of lack of jurisdiction to entertain it.

According to the judge, the nomination of candidates for election is an internal affairs of political parties, therefore the suit lacks merit in a law court.
