Rainbow Mountain Peru, was originally known as Vinicunca, found in the Andes Mountains of Peru, south America.
The rainbow mountain which has an elevation of 5200 meters above sea level, was discovered in 2015.
The mountain also called mountain of seven colors, used to be covered by ice which melted due to climate change.
The mountain has stripes of various colors with layered hues of gold, lavender, red and turquoise towering into the sky due to its mineral composition on the slopes and summits.
It is now considered a holy site in Peru and is now the second most visited attraction in the Cusco region.
The best time to visit rainbow mountain for hiking is between April and November.
