WAEC Office Gutted By Fire In Lagos | WATCH VIDEO
The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) building in the Yaba area of Lagos State have been gutted by fire.

The fire broke out in the early hours of Wednesday, with many trapped in.

Management of WAEC is yet to ascertain the cause of the fire, however, Sources said it was caused by power surge in one of the offices, which immediately went wild.

Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and other emergency responder are on ground to quench the fire.

Responding to the incident, the Acting Head of the Public Affairs Unit of WAEC, Moyosola Adesina, said;

"the fire outbreak was noticed at the headquarters this morning and the fire fighters were quickly invited.

"I can confirm to you that everyone in the building was successfully evacuated and that the fire has been put out.ÔÇØ
