"We Will Work As A Team", Abia State PDP Secretary Assures

Barr. David Iro, Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Abia State chapter has said that the target of the newly elected executive of the party is to surpass the legacies of the immediate past administration.

Interacting with a cross section of journalists shortly after their Inauguration at PDP Party Secretariat, Finbarrs' road Umuahia, Iro, former PDP State youth leader said with the sterling qualities of the new party chairman, Rt. Hon. Asiforo Okere, the party's future in the state remain brighter.

His words, "the elected chairman is a very seasoned administrator, tested and trusted politician, who is also a former speaker of the state house of assembly".

The Abia State Secretary of the PDP called on Abians to remain steadfast in the party and ensure that through their votes in the year 2023, PDP will retain its landlord-ship.

Iro said, "Abia is PDP and PDP is Abia. We are the landlord here in Abia State. So, we (the newly elected executive of the PDP) are expecting a more united party. We need to assist the Government to improve the governance. We are going to reinforce the party, make it stronger and more united; and make sure by 2023, the people of Abia State will reelect the PDP back to power, to enable us retain our landlord-ship in Abia State. This is basically our target".

He called on the aggrieved to sheath their swords and come back home for genuine reconciliation in order to move forward and hit the party's target.

Iro who prayed God to grant the former state party Chairman, late Sir Johnson Onuigbo eternal rest, expressed optimism that the new executive will have a very peaceful administration, as the era of misinformation and rash decision is over.
