Why Wizkid Changed His Stage Name To BigWiz | SEE DETAILS

Popular Nigerian musician, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, also known as 'Wizkid', has changed his stage name to 'BigWiz'.

This is following suggestions by the fans of the numerous award winning artist to change the name to a more suiting name.

The fans argued that the singer who is 30-years, is no longer a kid in person and in the music industry.

'BigWiz' had his first music recording at the age of 11 and managed to release a collaborative album with the Glorious Five, a group he and a couple of his church friends formed.

He signed a record deal with Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E) in 2009.

He came into limelight after releasing "Holla at Your Boy", the lead single from his debut studio album, Superstar in 2011.

'BigWiz is currently the most-streamed Nigerian artist of all time on Spotify, with over 3.4 billion streams.
