World Cup: Ronaldo's Role Still To Be Defined- Santos

Portugal manager Fernando Santos says he's yet to decide if Cristiano Ronaldo will face Morocco in the Quarter Finals of the World Cup.

The world of football punditry was lighted with opinion after Portugal's superstar striker Cristiano Ronaldo wearing a substitute's bib sat out most of the Portugal versus Switzerland World Cup game on Tuesday that saw the Portuguese side tread into the quarter-finals with a 6-1 win.

To complicate issues, Santos said Ronaldo's role for the remainder of the World Cup tournament is still to be "defined.ÔÇØ

When asked directly if Ronaldo would play against Morocco in the Quarter-final showdown December 10, Santos replied: "Ronaldo will definitely (be involved), all the players on the bench can be used. If they are not in the starting lineup, they can play later.ÔÇØ

He added "It is important to look at the example of this player's history, he is one of the best players in the world at playing professionally, being captain- all we have to do is think about this team collectively.ÔÇØ
Ronaldo had come off the bench very late in the game that moved Portugal into the quarter-finals and saw his 21 year old replacement, Goncalo Ramos score a hat trick in his first full debut for Portugal's national team. It was also the first hat trick of the World Cup tournament.
