Yobe: Govt announces date for resumption of schools | READ DETAILS

Yobe State Government has approved 12th October, 2020 as the date for the reopening of schools in the state.

Commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education, Dr. Muhammad Sani Idriss confirmed this on Wednesday in Damaturu. He also said strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols will be observed by both public and private schools across the state.

The Commissioner said, ÔÇØGov. Mai Mala Buni has given directives to his Ministry to ensure reopening of basic and secondary schools in Yobe State with effect from 12th of October, 2020ÔÇ│.

This was after the Commissioner briefed the governor on the modalities and strategies put in place by the ministry to avert any possible spread of coronavirus.
According to Dr. Idriss, the school reopening directives affect basic and secondary schools only.
