2023: Why Kwankwaso Can't Be Running Mate To Peter Obi - Jibrin | READ MORE
Abdulmumin Jibrin, former House of Representatives member, has said that the speculated coalition between Peter Obi, Labour Party presidential candidate and his counterpart, Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria's Peoples Party (NNPP) cannot happen.

Jibrin who was live on Channels TV programme, 'Politics Today' on Sunday, argued that Kwankwaso has more experience than Obi and as such cannot be a running mate to the latter.

According to him, Kwankwaso with his popularity in the north, can poll 70% votes while Obi can only poll 30%.

"Very clearly, Kwankwaso will not be a running mate to Peter Obi. By every standard, Kwankwaso should be the presidential candidate due to his numerous experiences".

"At the end of the day , when you look at contribution in terms of votes, it will be a ratio of about 70 to 30%. We are looking at bringing 70% of votes from the North" Jibrin stated.
