Abia APC Chieftain, Chief Chris Nwa-Abia Counters Sen Abaribe's Marginalisation Remarks

Senator Abaribe also said that the APC can't make an Igbo man president of the country come 2023, insisting that the People's Democratic Party, PDP, is better positioned to manage the diversity of Nigeria more than the APC.

But Chief (Dr) Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia, the Umuahia born business leader cum politician in an interview with journalists, flayed Senator Abaribe's remarks, adding that the senator is economical with the truth.

Chief Chris Nwa-Abia said that Abaribe was there when the Igbos went and put all their eggs in one basket during the 2015 General Election without considering the repercussions.

Dr Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia wondered what is the wisdom in the action at that time when the Igbos even had the opportunity to be part of the formation of the new federal government.

Chief Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia, who holds the title Ihie Umuahia, queried Abaribe's antic of always blaming the ruling APC and accusing its leadership of marginalizing the South East region, instead of organising the Igbos to take their rightful position in the scheme of things in the country.

He stressed that 2023 is just around the corner, and called on Igbos to form a formidable force and align with the centre to be able to fight for their right.

Chief Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia maintained that this is not the time to be crying of marginalisation, when other regions like South West and South South leaders have stepped out to forge alignment and realignment in the political space, adding that the Igbos have the potential to rebound against all odds with strategic thinking.

He urged the Igbo leaders to wake up and focus on what is achievable, or that otherwise they should come out publicly and support the actualisation of Biafra.

In his words, "For God's sake where was Senator Abarbe in 2015 when the entire Igbo race put all their eggs in one basket? What is the wisdom at that time when they even had the opportunity to be part of the formation of the new government?"

"Why are we now crying foul when we had failed to get things right? I will never agree with him(Abaribe) on his antics to make it look like we are being relegated but rather, I believe it's time to reorganise and relaunch ourselves for a better outing instead of continually crying over spilled milk.

"The Igbo nation comprised of great minds and can always bounce back from every difficult situation. So let's stop this blame game and forge ahead. 2023 is around the corner and we are still talking about marginalisation, Femi Fani kayode and other Youruba leaders are aligning, other South-South leaders are equally planning ahead and we are here talking about who wants to be President or not. How on earth will an Igbo man become president in this current situation. Our leaders needs to wake up and really focus on their goals and what is achievable or come out openly and support the Biafra emancipation. Enough of all this beating around the bush", he declares.
