Apex Court Judgement On Abia Guber: Our Spirt is High, Resolve Stronger - Otti

The All Progressive Grand Alliance 2019 gubernatorial candidate in Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti OFR has declared that he is still in high spirit and stronger resolve in his commitment to Abia State despite the recent decision of the Supreme court.

In a Press Release which follows the Supreme Court judgement that upheld Governor Okeize Ikpeazu's election, Media Aide to Dr. Otti, Ferdinand Ekeoma stated that the court dismissed their appeal mainly on technical grounds that revolved around the Electoral Act, and not on the basis of lack of evidence or inaccuracy of their facts.

He noted that they do not agree with the Apex Court which seems to be encouraging impunity and brigandage with its pronouncements, stressing that in keeping to the party's democratic disposition as law abiding citizens, they have all accepted the judgement with equanimity, devoid of anger and bitterness.

He thanked all those who kept faith and remained supportive and regretted that the result on ground has shown that Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has not shown deep understanding of the economic challenges confronting Abia State, hence his failure to audaciously confront and defeat the fundamental problems retarding development in Abia.

However, Mr. Ekeoma explained that they all want Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to succeed as governor for the sake of the suffering Abia masses, pointing out that for the governor to succeed, he must purge himself of sycophants and retrogressive political termites whose concept of politics revolves around winning an election through brigandage and looting the resources of the people with reckless abandon.

He therefore call on Abians to support all genuine policies and actions of government and remain faithful, resilient and very supportive in their quest to redeem the State.
