C0VID-19: Jigawa LG Council Adopt 'No Vaccination, No Salary' For Workers | DETAILS

Garki Local Government Council in Jigawa State has adopted 'no vaccination, no salary for workers in a bid to make them take the COVID-19 jab.

With this development, unvaccinated workers in the Council stand a chance of losing their December salaries and allowances.

The Local Government Chairman, Alh. Mudasir Musa while inaugurating the Local Government COVID-19 task force at the Local Government Secretariat, in Garki, said workers will be paid if they present a legible vaccination card.

In a similar vein, Dutse Local Government Council has also barred all unvaccinated staff from accessing the Local Government Secretariat.

Daily Post quoted the Local Government Chairman, Bala Usman Chamo as saying;

"The whole idea is to show people the importance of the vaccine, because they are reluctant to accept the vaccine.
