Victor Osimhen's future is one of the hottest topics in football, with several top European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United, vying for his signature.

However, former Arsenal and Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant has joined the growing chorus of voices alongside Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel urging the Blues to sign the Nigerian striker.

Chelsea's search for a prolific goal scorer has been ongoing for several seasons, with their current striker, Nicolas Jackson, showing flashes of brilliance but struggling with consistency.

While the Blues were interested in Osimhen last summer, they failed to secure a deal, and now, speaking on talkSPORT, Pennant made it clear that Chelsea should do everything possible to bring Osimhen to Stamford Bridge.

When asked if signing Osimhen would make Chelsea title contenders, Pennant replied, "Without a shadow of a doubt. He knows how to score. His numbers are frightening. They were great at Napoli.

"We see how often Jackson gets chances, but his conversion rate isn't great. He can have three or four clear-cut chances and miss them all, leaving you scratching your head, wondering how Chelsea ended up with a draw or a loss. Someone like Osimhen, if he finds a goal, will only boost Chelsea or any team."

With Manchester United, Arsenal, and PSG reportedly preparing to activate Osimhen's Ôé¼75 million release clause, Chelsea must move fast if they want to bring him to London.

The Nigerian forward has been in phenomenal form this season, netting 26 goals and providing five assists in 30 appearances while on loan at Galatasaray.

Former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi, a Chelsea legend in his own right, previously stated that Osimhen would be a game-changer for the Blues, and Pennant's endorsement only adds more weight to the argument.
