Ex-governorship candidate, Mohammed Ali Jajari resigns from PDP

Mohammed Ali Jajari the 2023 governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Borno State, has formally resigned from the PDP.

In a letter dated January 12, 2026, addressed to the YawaKura Ward PDP Chairman, Jajari stated that his decision came after "careful consideration of the prevailing developments and challenges within the party,ÔÇØ which he says no longer reflect his commitment to the people of Borno State and Nigeria.

Jajari expressed gratitude to party leaders, members, and supporters for their cooperation during his tenure, particularly for the opportunity to contest the 2023 governorship election.

He also encouraged members to join him in the All Democratic Congress, ADC, coalition.
