In a surprising turn of events, Edison Ehie, the Chief of State to Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State, has unveiled a clandestine scheme involving a member of President Bola Tinubu's cabinet. According to Ehie, this cabinet official is plotting to run against him in the 2027 elections.

Ehie's revelations came during an empowerment program for youths in Port Harcourt, where he disclosed that the cabinet member, hailing from Rivers State, has been conducting secret meetings to strategize against the President. Despite these covert plans, Ehie reassured the public of Governor Fubara's and the Rivers State's unwavering support for Tinubu.

"Our focus remains on national development and maintaining a strong partnership between the federal government and our state,ÔÇØ Ehie stated. "It is clear that certain individuals within the cabinet are attempting to undermine this unity by plotting their own presidential bid.ÔÇØ

He emphasized that both President Tinubu's and Governor Fubara's terms are firmly established. "The president's tenure and our governor's are secure. Any Rivers State resident wishing to challenge the president should wait until after 2031,ÔÇØ Ehie added.
