Nigeria's political space was set ablaze on Sunday night as the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, took to X (formerly Twitter) in an electrifying audio session with Nigerians that drew over 194,000 listeners, including more than 12,000 anonymous participants.

From promises to radically overhaul governance in just two years, to criticisms of President Tinubu's failure to engage other parts of Nigeria, Obi didn't hold back. With the 2027 elections gradually heating up, Obi's remarks have thrown a fresh spotlight on the growing dissatisfaction with the current regime.

In a sharp jab at President Bola Tinubu, Peter Obi condemned the President's travel pattern, stating:

"Since taking office, Tinubu has never spent a night in any Nigerian state outside Lagos. Yet he plans to spend 10 days in St. Lucia."

He likened this to abandoning the country at a time when the majority are suffering under economic hardship, insecurity, and hunger.

He emphasized a non-violent resistance approach, vowing that "results will not be manipulated in Abuja again."
