The Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Robinson Nname-Ewor, has launched a scathing attack on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, blaming his political ambition for the party's decline in Abia, Imo, and other states across Nigeria.

In a heated interaction with journalists, Nname-Ewor accused Wike of systematically wrecking PDP's dominance since 2015, citing his actions as the primary reason behind the party's loss of the presidency and its decline from controlling nearly 30 states to just 12.

According to the Rivers PDP chairman, Nyesom Wike's political ambition in 2015 led to the defection of key PDP governors, including Rotimi Amaechi, to the All Progressives Congress (APC), a move that significantly contributed to Goodluck Jonathan's loss in the presidential election.

"There is no damage that Wike has not already done to the party. His selfish ambition in 2015 cost PDP the presidency. He fueled internal conflicts that made the party lose its grip at the center. That was the beginning of PDP's downfall," Nname-Ewor stated.

The chairman further accused Nyesom Wike of masterminding the infamous G5 Governors' rebellion in 2023, which, he claimed, derailed PDP's chances of reclaiming the presidency. He noted that Wike's political interference in states like Abia, Imo, and Benue led to PDP's downfall in those regions.

"In 2023, he sponsored Samuel Anyanwu to contest the governorship in Imo State, but what was the outcome? PDP was buried in Imo under his watch. In Abia, he and his allies collapsed the party, allowing the opposition to take over. The same scenario played out in Benue, Cross River, and several other states," Nname-Ewor said.

Nname-Ewor insisted that the PDP must take decisive action against Wike, stating that he and his cohorts should face disciplinary measures for their role in weakening the party's structure nationwide.

"The only thing left now is for PDP to sanction him appropriately. He has no new damage to cause because he has already done the worst. Every state he steps into, PDP crumbles. He cannot continue sabotaging the party and expect to go unpunished," he asserted.

He revealed that the PDP at the national level has set up a National Reconciliation and Disciplinary Committee to address these issues and that a similar structure would be established in Rivers State, as well as at the local government and ward levels.

The PDP chairman dismissed Nyesom Wike's current position in APC as insignificant, labeling him a "servant" in his new political home. He challenged Wike to build his own political party if he believed in his influence rather than attempting to destroy PDP.

"If Wike thinks he is popular, let him register his own political party like Tinubu did with APC, like Buhari did with CPC, or like Orji Uzor Kalu did with PPA. He cannot keep tearing down a party that others built. Since he became governor, PDP's fortunes have nosedived. What has he contributed other than destruction?" Nname-Ewor questioned.

He expressed confidence that APC would never grant Wike a presidential ticket, asserting that his influence is limited and that he lacks the credibility to be trusted with national leadership.

"APC will never give him a presidential ticket. He has no real value, no moral standing, and no conscience. The only thing he gained by destroying PDP was his ministerial appointment. Other than that, he has nothing," he added.

"It's time to pick up the pieces, reorganize, and move forward. PDP is bigger than Wike, and we will ensure that his destabilizing influence is neutralized," he concluded. WATCH VIDEO BELOW:
