JUST IN: APC Denies Gov Fayemi's Suspension

Nigeria's ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied the alleged suspension Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi.

AFNNews reports earlier that a faction of the APC led by Senator Tony Adeniyi suspended Governor Kayode Fayemi over alleged anti-party activities.

However, reacting to the development on Friday, September 25, a few hours after the report had circulated the media, the party National Secretariat in a statement by Yekini Nabena, Deputy National Publicity Secretary APC, said the actions are a nullity as the Party's National Secretariat is yet to receive communication from the state chapter on the purported "suspensionsÔÇØ.

Nabena, therefore, strongly urged all members of the party to adhere strictly to the party's constitution.

The statement reads; "Governor Kayode Fayemi remains the leader of the party in Ekiti State.
