In a significant political development, stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State have declared their unwavering support for Governor Uba Sani. This decision marks a stark departure from their previous allegiance to former Governor Nasir el-Rufai, who is currently embroiled in a political tussle with his successor. The tensions between el-Rufai and Sani have escalated, culminating in a recent probe into el-Rufai's administration by the Kaduna State House of Assembly.

The declaration of support for Governor Sani was made during the Kaduna State APC Executive Committee meeting held at the Umaru Musa Yar'adua Hall, Murtala Muhammad Square, Kaduna. During the meeting, party chieftains passed a unanimous vote of confidence on Governor Sani, showcasing a unified front.

The meeting was attended by several high-profile APC members, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Kaduna State APC Chairman Air Commodore Emmanuel Jekada (rtd), former Governor Ramalan Yero, and multiple APC House of Representatives members from Kaduna State. The event underscored the party's strong internal support for Governor Sani.

The motion for a vote of confidence in Governor Sani was moved by APC Deputy Vice Chairman, North West, Hon. Datti Garba Muhammad, and seconded by former House of Representatives member Hon. Yakubu Barde. The motion was met with unanimous endorsement by the Kaduna APC leaders present at the meeting.

Speaker Abbas Tajudeen expressed his optimism about the future of the APC in Kaduna, emphasizing the unity within the state's party chapter. He assured party members that there would be no rift between him and Governor Sani, promising continued support throughout Sani's tenure.

Governor Uba Sani, in his address, applauded Speaker Abbas for his achievements and leadership.
