"Kneel Before Wike and Beg!" -Eradiri Slams Gov. Fubara, Says Incompetence Fueling Rivers Crisis

In a fiery political broadside that has sent shockwaves across the South-South, former Labour Party governorship candidate in Bayelsa State, Udengs Eradiri, has called on Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State to kneel and beg the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for forgiveness.

Eradiri, who is no longer a member of the Labour Party, blamed the unending political turmoil in Rivers on Governor Fubara's alleged incompetence and refusal to build inclusive governance. He warned the embattled governor to stop dragging the Ijaw ethnic identity into his personal political battles.

"Governor Siminalayi Fubara is incompetent, and that's the root cause of all this negative energy. He should stop involving the Ijaw Nation in his political mess,ÔÇØ Eradiri declared.

In a scathing critique, Eradiri questioned the governor's claim to Ijaw solidarity, accusing him of doing nothing to empower Ijaw youths or advance the interest of the Ijaw people in his administration.

"How many Ijaws of Rivers State has Fubara empowered? How many Ijaw Youth Council comrades from the Eastern Zone are LGA chairmen, commissioners, or hold positions in his government?ÔÇØ

Eradiri further accused Fubara's supporters of hypocrisy, saying many of them secretly kneel before Wike while pretending to be fearless defenders of the Ijaw cause.

"Those deceiving Fubara have no balls. They go kneeling before Wike in private, and return to pose as Ijaw lions in public. He should go and kneel before Wike and beg. Enough of this drama.ÔÇØ

The former LP flagbearer didn't spare the Ijaw National Congress (INC) either, warning the body against politicizing its role. He accused the group of embarrassing the Ijaw Nation by taking sides in a political battle instead of upholding its neutrality.

"The INC has become a tool for massaging governors' egos. That institution is bigger than any individual. When they play politics with it, they make it a subject of ridicule,ÔÇØ he said.

Eradiri insisted that the Ijaw identity is not exclusive to any individual or group, and cautioned the INC to rise above partisanship and protect the collective interest of the Ijaw people.

"Nobody is more Ijaw than the other. INC should stop aligning with political actors and return to its core mandate-unity and advocacy.ÔÇØ

His comments have drawn sharp reactions online, with many describing his statement as "bold,ÔÇØ "provocative,ÔÇØ and capable of reigniting the already tense political atmosphere in Rivers State.
