He didn't need to host an event to get noticed. Hence, his visit to the child dedication ceremony of Hon. Kingsley Imaga in Ohafia LGA penultimate Sunday was just enough to know the man at home with people as his entrant into the venue was greeted with wide jubilation.

Who actually is Mandela Obasi and why is he so much loved by not just his people alone, but Abians in general.
Both in business and politics, Hon. Mandela Obasi has carved a niche for himself. He is one of the youngest hotel proprietors in Abia, creating employment opportunities in the state with his three hotel brands in three different locations; Evergreen and South Asia Hotels with an event center.

He calm, humble, respectful, blessed and humility personified. As one time chairman of Ohafia Local Government Area, this provided him yet another opportunity to empower many youths and women and expand the infrastructural frontier of the local government which ensured that he was elected as a member representing ohafia north state constituency in Abia State House Of Assembly in 2015.

It is on record that his re-election into the State House Of Assembly for a second tenure in 2019 was much easier. The love his people have for him was clearly demonstrated by the massive winning recorded by PDP in all the six wards of the constituency which includes sweeping the entire polling unit in a land slide victory for both the Governorship and House Of Assembly election despite stiff opposition.

However, this is not the news, the real empowerment story of Hon. Mandela Egwuruonu Obasi that endeared him as man of the people is yet to be told.
