A lot has been said currently and lately on the burning issues and debates bordering on Abia North Senatorial District. Especially, with specific reference to the merits or demerits of retaining or changing the incumbent Senator in 2027. The media space has been buzzing and flooded with both sensible and in-sensible remarks, from both sides of the divides in favor or against the controversial and politically combustible debates on the subject of the fate of the Senate office of Abia North Zone in 2027. Campaigners in favor of the incumbent Senator to remain or to retain the seat and campaigners agitating or canvassing for a "New Order" have crossed words in the course of marketing different kinds of ideas in support of the divergent perspectives. The debates are going to linger and gather more momentum, even as the political contours and landscapes twist and unfold rapidly towards 2027 elections.

Jittery and Jagged Nerves

The common characteristics of the reactions and responses from the camps in favor of the incumbent Senator, not to vacate the seat, to any ideas in support of "New Order" has been an exhibition of tendencies of jittery and jagged nervous reactions and outbursts. Insults and undignified utterances, instead of constructive and convincing reactions and responses, represent the arsenal commonly or characteristically deployed and utilized by the campaigners in this camp, designed to silence the opposition camp. This is pretty unfortunate, ridiculous and unnecessary. The attack dogs in this camp, oftentimes can be vulgar and brazenly condescending, particularly in the manners unrefined expressions and unpolished behaviors, have been brazenly exhibited.

The critical question is: why favor or deploy bubonic reactions and responses in sympathetic attempts to justify or to protect the office or the seat of the incumbent Senator, who is the political Boss and Principal of the campaigners and promoters of extended or prolonged occupation of the Senate office by the Incumbent Senator?

Constructive or convincing arguments or perspectives, remain the critical tools or essential weapons to win debates. In any debates, including law suits, superior arguments and perspectives, ideally can overcome any forms of opposition or contrary opinions, no matter how formidable the force of opposition. Mudslinging is never a clever means to win any arguments convincingly or logically. Any resort to mudslinging is a sign of desperation and connotes weakness in presenting logically sound and convincing arguments.

Most unfortunately, the media aides and the support base of the incumbent Senator, instead of presenting objectively structured arguments in favor of securing the office for the incumbent Senator in 2027, prefer to deploy arm-twisting, underhand tactics, including mudslinging and vituperative outbursts to intimidate and terrorize anyone who dares to hint at any prospects of reclaiming the office, from the incumbent Senator.

I know already the avalanche of attacks and arrows with poisoned tips, coming my way, for daring to highlight this mudslinging mentality, in place of the noble course of constructive perspectives and rational exchanges and viewpoints.

It would amount to seizure of power, acts of desperation, blatant intolerance, and unmitigated greed for power, if any elected public office holder, (including the Senate office) claims he is the only Czar fit or capable, or indispensable political Juggernaut on a mission to confiscate or brazenly commandeer such public office, to the utter exclusion of others, under whatever guises or dubiously foisted politically motivated gerrymandering devices.

The Pendulum of public opinion, the critical mass of public opinion sampling, essentially is not in favor of a Third Term for OUK. No Third Term for OUK, is the popular sentiment, across the spectrum of the Abia North geopolitical orbit, presently. The possibility of any significant change in these popular feelings and opinion is slim and remote, from all indications, as 2027 advances.
