Over 1,502 PDP supporters decamp to APC in Plateau

Over 1,502 members Of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) have decamped to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Pil Gani wards' of Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

They were received by chairman of Langtang North Barrister Zulfa Rimven.

The leader of the decampees, Ringa Nanlok, said they were satisfied with the council chairman and the Plateau Governor Simon Lalong.

The Nation reports Rimven had set up a committee to receive the decampees.

The counci chair, who was accompanied by the Commissioner for Housing Hon Brian Bintim Dadi and all the council APC aspirants for the 2023 elections, assured the decampees of justice and fairness.

He called on others who are yet to join to do so.

The council boss, who described the event as a 'harvest' of over 1,502 members, expressed delight that most of the returnees are former leaders, ward excos and members of the people democratic party ( PDP).

He charged them to use there political weight to ensure victory for the party come 2023 and beyond.

He appealed to old and new members of the ruling party to work together in peace and be law abiding and emphasised on the supremacy of the party decisions.

Former PDP Deputy chairman in the ward, Mr Vongdul assured party faithfuls that their return to APC was to consolidate on the achievement recorded by the chairman of the council.
