Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie, has opened up on actress Yvonne Nelson's allegation that he made her abort a pregnancy she had for him when they were dating in 2010.
ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER had reported that Nelson in a book titled 'I Am Not Yvonne Nelson" said she got pregnant for Sarkodie who was struggling then. The actress alleged that Sarkodie asked her to remove the pregnancy as he was not ready for.

She noted that aborting the pregnancy was one of the regrets of her life.

Responding in his latest single, 'Try Me [Raw]' released on Wednesday, Sarkodie claimed he asked Yvonne Nelson to keep the pregnancy even though he wasn't ready to be the father.
"Yes, I wasn't ready but then I told you to keep it. So don't make it seem like I was pushing you for abortion,ÔÇØ he raps in the first verse of the song.

"Not because your book is really good but we are living in a world where negativity sells,ÔÇØ Sarkodie raps further.

The rapper urged the actress to take the blame because "nobody is the cause of your bad choice in lifeÔÇØ and "stop the personal attacks.ÔÇØ

Responding to Sarkodie's denial, Nelson wrote on her Twitter handle on Wednesday;

Insults wont work michael. Respect womanhood , Im happy the world gets to see how you are playing this and the real you. Young women get to learn from this. You would get the applause for a rap.still doesn't change the TRUTH.

Michael , you claim I was desperate to abort because I needed to complete school. In 2010 when I became pregnant, I had completed the university. Anybody can verify this. I wasn't in school and you know it. If you want to lie, find an logical lie.
