The Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR) has sounded the alarm over a disturbing plot to frame and arrest their principal, Peter Obi, the Labour Party's presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections. In a detailed statement released in Abuja, POMR highlighted what it termed "wild, wicked, and baseless allegations" made by Bayo Onanuga, a presidential spokesperson. The statement also shed light on the deployment of "multiple attack dogs" aimed at discrediting Obi and preventing him from effectively communicating with the Nigerian public. These hired operatives, Yunusa argued, are paid to spread falsehoods and distort public perception.

Further, POMR accused the current administration of attempting to scapegoat Obi for various national challenges, including the fallout from the fuel subsidy removal, rising poverty, inflation, nepotism, and unresolved historical conflicts. These issues, they assert, are a direct result of the administration's actions and inactions, not Obi's.
