Rivers crisis: Fubara playing to gallery after suspension - Obi/Akpor LG chairman

Gift Worlu, the Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, on Tuesday said the former Sole Administrator of the state, Ibok-Ete Ibas, failed to make provisions for the State House of Assembly in the budget he presented during his six month in power.

Worlu made the remark while noting that Governor Sim Fubara has been playing to the gallery since he resumed from his suspension.

Fubara had spent six months on suspension the state of emergency declared by President Bola Tinubu, who appointed Ibas as sole administrator of the state.

Ibas presented a budget for Rivers State to the National Assembly since the state assembly was also suspended.

Worlu while featuring on All Facts Newspaper's Sunrise Daily said: "In the budget developed by the former sole administrator, retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, one of the things that happened in that budget was the fact that because there was no Assembly, provisions were not made for the Assembly.

"So when the governor came back, it was expected that he was supposed to do a supplementary budget to cater for the needs for the Assembly members and the Assembly Service Commission.

"A few other things were also agreed for him to appoint commissioners to work with him and generally work with members of the party who have said, 'okay let bygones be bygone'.

"But since he came back, he has refused to do any of those things, instead he plays to the gallery."
