US Election: Melania Trump Finally Speaks, Calls For Complete Transparency

The First Lady of the United States, US, Melania Trump, has reacted to the controversy surrounding counting of votes cast during the presidential election.

Melania said Americans deserves a fair election, adding that every legal votes cast during the election should be counted.

There have been allegations of rigging in favour of Joe Biden, the Democratic presidential candidate.

Despite Biden polling the highest number of votes, Trump had called for the recounting of the votes over electoral irregularities.

However, Melania urged Americans to protect the country's democracy.

In a tweet on her verified Twitter handle, the First lady called for complete transparency in the country's electoral system.

According to Melania: "The American people deserve fair elections. Every legal - not illegal - vote should be counted. We must protect our democracy with complete transparency."
