Sir Onyebuchi Ememanka, the former Chief Press Secretary to ex-Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, has officially resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing mass exodus, internal collapse, and lack of direction as key reasons behind his decision. In a detailed and emotional statement obtained by All Facts Newspaper, Ememanka made it clear that his exit was long overdue and that the party has failed its members and its legacy.
According to Ememanka, the letter of resignation was submitted to his ward chairman, Chief Chiemela Ufomba of Amasato Ward 3, Osisioma Ngwa LGA. He described the decision as "painful but inevitable,ÔÇØ taken after deep personal reflection and consultation with his family.

"After we lost the 2023 elections, I expected a period of sober reflection and restructuring. But what followed was an alarming and unexplainable exodus of key figures from the party-people who had benefited enormously from PDP since 1999 were the first to flee. It was a mass hemorrhage,ÔÇØ he stated.

Ememanka, who voluntarily served as spokesman to the immediate past governor post-2023 election defeat, revealed that he had braced himself for opposition politics and committed to defending the Ikpeazu-led administration. However, the unending departures from the party both in Abia and nationally forced him to question his continued loyalty.
