Abia Rerun: We cant elect someone who can not communicate , Arochukwu Elders

Ahead of the re-run in about 10 units in Arochukwu State Constituency, some elders of Ututu community in Arochukwu L.G.A have bared their minds, explaining that it will be wrong to elect someone who can not communicate very well as House of Assembly member.

In an interview with AFNews reporter recently, one of the elder's of the community, Mazi Kalu Agwu explained that it will be wrong to elect Prince Eric Aso Kalu the Peoples Democratic Party candidate in the forthcoming election, saying that doing that will be disadvantageous to the constituency.

Mazi Agwu further hinted that the people of Arochukwu Local Government are intelligent people and very industrious, he revealed that he will not advise anyone to vote for the PDP candidate who he claimed obviosly does not have the capacity to represent the people properly and also does not exhibit good human relation abilities.

"Eric does not have what it takes to represent our people, look at Uko, he is sound, acticulate and mixs with the people very well. Look at Senator Mao, also articulate and sound. How then will we allow a man that does not know his left from his right in communication represent us."

'This is not party thing, Mike Ukoha is far far better and should be allowed to remain there"

Also speaking, Chief Umeh Okeke Ogbuji lauded Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha for his effort and steadfastness within the space of six weeks that he took office as Member of the House, pointing out that the lawmakers feat in intervening for the people of Isu community by bringing the presence of the National Emergency Management Agency(NEMA) and State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to attract relieve materials to them marked him out for excellence.

He stressed the need for voters in the affected 10 units of the constituency to ensure they vote Hon. Mike Ukoha come Saturday the 25th of January 2020, saying that Ukoha remains the best man for the job as at this moment.

"Ukoha is the best man for the job as at this moment, Arochukwu was fully represented at the Abia State House of Assembly before the rerun was declared. You can see Ukoha's track record, from his intervention on the Isu matter and other issues regarding Arochukwu".

It will be recalled that the House of Assembly Tribunal and Appeal had on the 13th of September and 11th of November 2019 respectively ordered for a re-run election in about 10 polling units of Arochukwu State Constituency.

A breakdown of the court verdict shows that the affected units where re-run should take place include 3 units in Ututu ward, 6 in Arochukwu ward 1 and 1 unit in Amaeke Abam community.
