Osun 2022: APC members pledge allegiance to PDP, defect en-masse

Ahead of the Osun State gubernatorial election, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has once again restated that it would clinch the gubernatorial position.

The party made this known at Ile-Ife on Sunday as it received a large number of the All Progressives Congress (APC) members who had defected en-masse to the opposition party in Ife zone.

Receiving the decampees, who were led by Kayode Ogundele, Professor Wale Oladipo, the Chairman, Ademola Adeleke Campaign Council assured that none of them will regret their action.

He promised that the party was going to set-up the next government in the State.

While accusing the APC of ruining the country, Oladipo added that the defection of the APC members to the PDP in Osun was a message that their time is over in the State.

In his words, "We cannot continue like this. Collectively, we must be ready to send these scavengers out of our dear State.

"By the grace of God, PDP is going to win the forthcoming election in Osun State.ÔÇØ

The campaign council chairman also thanked the leaders for their steadfastness and courage to declare for the PDP.

Responding, Ogundele said their decision to join the PDP was borne out of the conviction that the PDP is the only party that can give people of Osun the needed change they deserved.
