UPDATE: Malami Yet To Declare Interest In 2023 Election- Aide Refutes | DETAILS
Umar Gwandu, media aide to the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister for Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN), has refuted reports that his principal has declared to run in the 2023 election.

AFNEWS had reported that Malami in a video translated by ThisDay, declared intention to run for the Kebbi state gubernatorial election come 2023. READ HERE

According to a statement released by Gwandu, 'the report was triggered out of curiosity and eagerness by followers and loyalists.'

The statement titled; '2023: I am yet to declare -Malami', the clarification became necessary in view of "a false and fabricated publication in some section of the mediaÔÇØ read in part;

"A video being circulated as the purported declaration was mischievously translated with fabricated insertions and interpolations that cannot in spirit and context establish the misinformation circulated,ÔÇØ the statement said.

The minister, however, thanked his supporters and the general public for expressing their interest.
